9-Year-old Boy Killed while Joining Juventus Academy
The news of grief approached Juventus in mid-September. A 9-year-old boy died following the Juventus Soccer Academy in New York, USA.
According to a New York Daily News report, a boy named Tommoso Cerase died while attending Juventus’ early age program at Park West High School located at W. 50th St on Monday (18/09/2017).
The incident began when the boy who plays as the goalkeeper jumped to swing on the crossbar, as is often done Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. Shit for Cerase, the crossbar was broken and hit his face.
Cerase then fell with the back of the head hitting the wooden floor of the gym. He immediately passed out and suffered a trauma in his head.
The police immediately drove to the location and brought Cerase to Mount Sinai West Hospital. But Cerase’s life was not saved.
The incident is still being investigated by New York police. During the incident, Cerase trained with eight other children under the guidance of three teachers.
Cesara’s mother, Barbara Riccardi, is also reportedly at the scene of the incident. Juventus itself has not given an official statement until this news was revealed.
